Andy Verhoff  has been playing guitar since the nation's bicentennial in 1976. Since his days in his high school's folk group (a New Christy Minstrels-type outfit), his tastes have leaned towards old time string band and early country music, despite a brief stint in a high school rock band. Currently, he plays with the Timbre Wolves and the Alum Creek Singers, and sits in occasionally with members of the Pit Bull String Band and Turkeys in the Straw at Big Scioty contra dances. Andy's day job is at the Ohio Historical Society as consultant in the society's Local History Office. He provides information and advice about the finer points historical society operation to local historical groups and works with many to erect Ohio Historical Markers.
